Seized cargo of prescription drugs

A shipment of prescription drugs was seized by the Military Police in Feira de Santana. The drugs left Petrolina, state of Pernambuco. Sérgio Carlos Carneiro Rios and his brother were arrested on charges of drug trafficking.
First, the PM approached the younger brother, who traveled by car on Avenida Fraga Maia, in Feira de Santana. According to the police, he drove without a driver's license. The vehicle was collected at the 3rd Ciretran. At the scene, police officers searched the car and found about 165 boxes of prescription drugs.
The driver said he was taking Sérgio Carlos's car to wash and that he didn't know what he was carrying. The sale of this type of medication, which has a tranquilizing, anti-convulsive and muscle-relaxing action, can only be done under medical prescription. Illegal sales are considered drug trafficking.
The police are still investigating the participation of Sérgio's brother in this crime. At the police station, Sérgio said that he works as a medicine representative and that he took the cargo of Petrolina to be sold in pharmacies in Feira de Santana.
