From next Tuesday, 19, the fight against tax evasion in the state of Bahia will gain new allies. The State Government, through the Secretariat of Finance (Sefaz), and the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), sign a cooperation agreement with the objective of improving inspection in the sector, especially royalties. The ceremony will take place at the Governorate, at the Administrative Center, and will be attended by Governor Jaques Wagner, the Secretary of Finance, Carlos Martins, and the Director General of the ANP, Haroldo Lima.

On the same day, the new BI NF-e or Business Intelligence System based on Electronic Invoices will also be delivered by the Brazilian Institute of Ethical Competition (ETCO). Also participating in the act are the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Hoche Pulcherio, and Microsoft, a company that, together with Sefaz, developed the system.

The new system will be used by Sefaz technicians on the same day to combat tax evasion and help promote competitive ethics. Currently, 14 thousand Bahian taxpayers already use the NF-e, and in January of this year alone, they moved a value greater than R $ 25 billion. After the implementation of the system, the secretariat will make all source codes and technical documentation available to the other departments of Finance of Brazil, who are interested in implementing the BI.
