The event will feature lectures by Luiz Fux, Marcílio Marques Moreira and Armando Castelar Pinheiro, who will discuss the impact of legal decisions on the economy On Friday, the 17th, the Brazilian Institute of Competition Ethics (ETCO) will be held at Teatro Sesi-Firjan, in Rio de Janeiro, the fourth seminar of the Law and Economics Debate Cycle. This meeting, the first of the series held in Rio de Janeiro, will discuss the impact of legal decisions on economic development. The event includes lectures by: Luiz Fux, Minister of the Superior Court of Justice; Marcílio Marques Moreira, president of the ETCO Advisory Council; and Armando Castelar Pinheiro, from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

“We seek modestly to contribute to the promotion of the indispensable dialogue between Law and production operators, but with the ambitious expectation that it will produce fruits that, if well cultivated, could change the history of our Brazil”, says André Franco Montoro Filho, executive chairman of ETCO.

The Debate Cycle will be opened by: André Montoro; André Fontes, director general of the Federal Regional School of the 2nd Region; and Carlos Mariani Bittencourt, acting president of the Firjan System. To debate the ideas presented by Luiz Fux, Marcílio Marques Moreira and Armando Castelar Pinheiro, Antônio Carlos Bigonha, president of the National Association of Public Prosecutors (ANPR) and Antônio Rezende, of the OAB's Commission to Fight the Illegal Market, were invited.
