Low price and wide offer are reasons that determine the consumption of smuggled cigarettes in the country. The diagnosis is in research carried out by IDS, at the request of the Etco institute. 1.221 smokers of illegal brands were heard in seven Brazilian capitals. Of every four, three mentioned low cost as a reason for purchase; 18% cited the ease of finding the product.
Fidelity
The survey showed that consumers smoke, on average, 18,3 cigarettes a day. Of the total, 75% have bought contraband products for more than two years; half, there are more than five. It is an indication of brand loyalty.
