SEFAZ PRESENTS BI SYSTEM OF ELECTRONIC INVOICE ON THIS TUESDAY, 27
Next Tuesday (27), the State Finance Secretariat (Sefaz) will hold the seminar to present the BI system of the Electronic Invoice and will start transferring the technology to other departments of Finance in Brazil. The event takes place at the Porto Bello hotel, in the Ondina neighborhood, from 09 am to 17 pm and will be attended by the Secretary of Finance, Carlos Martins, the general coordinator of the National Meeting of Tax Administrators (Encat), Eudaldo Almeida and representatives of the Institute Etco, a partner company in the development of new technology.
During the event, the technical coordinator of ENCAT, Álvaro Bahia, will carry out a practical demonstration of the system's features and potential. Then the Microsoft team together with the project coordinator at Sefaz, Jadson Bitencourt, will present the strategy for the migration and transfer of technology to the Finance Departments that choose to use the solution.
For Secretary Carlos Martins, the initiative, a pioneer in Bahia, will now allow other states to also strengthen themselves in the fight against irregular trade in goods. "Avoiding tax evasion is a constant concern of Sefaz Bahia and with the new software, other Brazilian taxpayers may feel more secure in relation to unfair competition," recalled Martins.
BI NF-e
The new system was developed by the Bahia Finance Secretariat in partnership with the Etco Institute, through an agreement signed in September 2009 with the objective of subsidizing the extraction of data contained in the Electronic Invoices and generating information. Having been the pioneer state in the development of the software, Bahia was responsible for disseminating it, free of charge, to other Finance Departments of Brazil that are interested.
According to the Director of Planning and Inspection at Sefaz, Guilherme Teixeira, the NF-e BI allows tax auditors access to comparisons by sub-segment of each note, to the main taxpayer suppliers and to any NF-e in a more organized way and fast. "The software will create a database to provide greater agility in the search for information from electronic invoices, being a useful way of transforming data into information", explains Guilherme.
