Letters: CPMF and the misuse of public spending

On behalf of the Brazilian Institute of Competition Ethics (ETCO), I compliment Rolf Kuntz for the excellent article on CPMF and the misuse of public spending. The text defends the same idea of the institute: that it is possible to improve the quality of public services without increasing taxes.
Despite arguing that money is lacking for health or for any other sector considered a priority, a study carried out by Fipe at the request of ETCO shows that Brazil has sufficient funds to invest in improving public social services without further increasing the tax burden. This study proves Rolf Kuntz's thesis. The country just needs to learn to spend its funds better.
