The police arrested five people at dawn yesterday (26) and seized 1.027 boxes of cigarettes, in addition to 12 boxes of CDs and DVDs and five vehicles in Altônia (Western Paraná). The action took place jointly between the Force Alpha, of the state government, the Federal Revenue and the Federal Police.

At the location indicated, the PM found two trucks leaving a rural property. that were addressed. The vehicles were carrying boxes of smuggled cigarettes. On the farm grounds where the trucks left, the team found several boxes of cigarettes, in addition to wrappers with media (CDs and DVDs).

Still at the farm, inside a shed, the police located another truck and two vehicles that were also loaded with cigarette cases.

The seized vehicles and goods were sent to the headquarters of the Federal Revenue of Guaíra. The retained boxes are equivalent to just over 500 thousand packs of cigarettes.

The five were arrested and sent to the Federal Police. The seized vehicles are Montana, with plates from São Paulo (SP), a Ford / F-4000, plates from Maringá, a Ford / F-4000, plates from Curitiba, a Fiorino with plates from Cuiabá (MT) and a truck Iveco, Sorocaba (SP) plates.

Four of these vehicles had radio communicators, and the Iveco truck had cloned license plates and had been stolen in Campinas (SP) in April this year.
