CNJ seeks partnerships to streamline 45 million processes in RS

Porto Alegre - In order to avoid the chaos caused by the large volume of lawsuits in the courts, the National Council of Justice (CNJ) unleashes a mobilization in all states in the search for advice to expedite the work of judges and prosecutors. The statement was made in Porto Alegre by the secretary general of the National Council of Justice, Rubens Silveira, who participated in the closing of the 36th National Forum of Attorneys General for Brazilian Capitals, hosted by the Attorney General's Office (PGM), on the afternoon of today.
“Our intention is to find collective solutions to alleviate the burden that reaches 45 million cases in progress throughout Brazil”, revealed Silveira to the attorneys general of 15 capitals that participated in the meeting. He concluded by stating that the CNJ promotes this openness to share ideas, electronically perfecting the courts in order to speed up the location of cases to avoid frequent prescriptions due to delays.
Deputy Attorney General of Tax Consultancy and Tax Litigation for the National Treasury, Fabrício Da Soller also participated in the meeting, clarifying to MPs the MP 457, transformed into a law sanctioned last Monday, 29, by the President of the Republic and which deals with the parceling of municipal debts with the INSS.
During the two days of the event, topics involving land regularization, urban occupation and retention of the municipalities' participation fund were discussed. The attorney general of the Municipality of Porto Alegre, João Batista Linck Figueira, made a positive assessment of the meeting, reaffirming that the Public Advocacy must act in the construction of the common good, avoiding being centered on itself and finding ways to erase or cancel the bureaucracy.
