The State Prosecutor's Office (MPE), the Federal Revenue Service and the Federal Police (PF) trigger Operation Santo Remédio, which seeks to investigate alleged irregularities in pharmacies in Corumbá (a city 417 kilometers northwest of Campo Grande). Six people were arrested, two vehicles and a large number of seized drugs. The scheme moved more than R $ 30 per month, according to the ministry.

The actions were requested by the 5th Prosecutor's Office for the Defense of the Public and Consumer Patrimony, which found, after complaints, problems in the sale of medicines and tax evasion in the municipality's pharmacy. According to the MPE, six people were referred to the Federal Police Station. Investigations by the Federal Police on smuggling and embezzlement and by the 5th Prosecutor's Office in Corumbá continue with regard to the illegal distribution of medicines, tax evasion and crimes against the consumption relationship.

All activities were practiced on Thursday, but reported on Friday (3).


National Force and the State Secretariat of Finance (Sefaz) also helped.

According to the press office of the MPE, after denouncing the delivery of large quantities of medicine boxes at a local pharmacy, the institution found that shortly after the arrival of a cargo of medicines at the pharmacy, foreign vehicles were supplied with medicine boxes, even outside the country. office hours.

The deliveries were filmed and photographed for confirmation. On Thursday, after one of the vehicles was caught by agents of the National Force at the Esdras Post, of the Federal Revenue, it was verified that the goods had not been declared out. Another vehicle stopped in front of the pharmacy that was being loaded with medicines was also approached.
