Scheme facilitates sale of chips in the Center

A stall at the Rua Uruguaiana camelódromo, in the Center, has made life easier for those who have a dirty name and do not want to go through the bureaucracy to acquire a chip and have a Nextel device.


According to the street vendor, with the help of Nextel employees, the fraud allows anyone to get an operator account even if their name is dirty.


While to buy the company's chip at an authorized store, it is necessary to present identity, CPF, proof of residence and proof of minimum monthly income of R $ 2 thousand or equivalent financial transactions, the black market offers more ease.


A reporter from JB es had this week at the only stall at the camelódromo where the scheme works.


Upon arriving at the site and informing that he was interested in purchasing a chip from the company, the seller informed that joining the Nextel club costs R $ 350 and there is no need for proof of income, as required by authorized stores.


In addition to the subscription fee, anyone wishing to rent the company's chip at the camelódromo pays a monthly fee of R $ 148,00 to be entitled to use 100 minutes on fixed or mobile calls to any operators.


The value of the same package, if done with an authorized company, is R $ 105, that is, R $ 42 less.


The only document required by illegal sellers is a copy of the identity card.

For delegate José Luiz Duarte, holder of the 1st DP (Praça Mauá), responsible for investigating crimes in the area of ​​Rua Uruguaiana, there was no communication of this case by any telephone operator in that region.


- In order to investigate irregularities, there must be a report of crime by the company - explained the delegate - So far, there has been no complaint from any telephone company.
