Alpha Force of the Military Police has already carried out 26 border operations

In the first 12 days of policing, Força Alfa - Companhia Independente de Fronteira - launched in Guaíra by Governor Roberto Requião, carried out 26 operations in conjunction with the Federal Police, IRS, Federal Highway Police, Environmental Police Battalion (BPAmb) and Police State Highway (BBRv).
"We are blocking all entrances to Paraná in order to curb drug trafficking and arms smuggling," says Major Roberto Sampaio de Araújo, commander of Força Alfa. As of Wednesday (29), Alpha Force teams have seized 51.550 cigarette packs and 12 CD and DVD boxes.
“We closed a smuggling point in Altônia and we are sure that the community is much more relaxed with this work”, guaranteed Sampaio. The police also approached 15 commercial establishments and 985 people, of whom 16 were detained and nine others referred to the IRS.
In addition, 233 cars were approached and inspected, of which 10 were apprehended and one recovered (truck that had been stolen in São Paulo in May).
Still in operations, 69 motorcycles, 42 trucks, nine buses and nine vessels were checked. Two firearms and 21 intact ammunition were also collected by the Alpha Force. "22 crack stones were also found by the Military Police," said Sampaio.
Among the activities carried out by the Alfa Force are water and air patrol operations, support to the Federal Police, compliance with warrants, surveillance operations, approach to clandestine ports, saturation and inspection.
