Government and private sector representatives will meet tomorrow, in BrasĂlia, to discuss ways to reduce bureaucracy in opening and closing companies. The Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic), Miguel Jorge, leads the meeting.
According to one source, the issue of differentiating between high and low economic risk activities in the opening of companies is on the agenda, which, if approved, would give greater speed in granting licenses.
Currently, 98% of companies in the country could fall into the category of lowest economic risk, according to the methodology of the National Classification of Economic Activities (CNAE).
According to data from the Mdic, each year, there are about 600 thousand new company constitutions in the country.
