Medicines included in the Tax Replacement
Yesterday, November 13, by Governor José Serra, Decree no. 52.364 which includes the departure of medicines classified in positions 3003 and 3004 of the NBM / SH, destined for establishments located in São Paulo, under the Tax Substitution regime.
Among the objectives of ETCO, the inclusion of medicines in this regime is seen as an important instrument to combat tax evasion and informality in the sector.
From the government's point of view, according to Governor José Serra, this measure provides greater efficiency in control, with less expenditure of resources, making tax evasion difficult.
Thus, the continuous dialogue between the pharmaceutical sector and government authorities, was essential to achieve a solution that will clearly contribute to improving the business environment in the sector.
