Sicobe (Beverage Production Control System), from the Brazilian Federal Revenue, has served as an example to other countries.
From this second semester, the government of Morocco will start using a fiscal control system inspired by the Brazilian.
In order to make control, inspection and combating tax evasion in the manufacture of beverages more effective, Sicobe allows the IRS to monitor, in real time, the manufacture of soft drinks, beers and mineral water in the country.
In March, a Moroccan delegation visited Brazil, where they also visited AmBev's factory in Gama, in the Federal District, the first plant where the company installed the system.
Delegations from Mexico and Vietnam have also been to Brazil this year to learn about the system's operation.
Law 11.827, of 2008, established that all manufacturers in the country are required to install these meters.
More than 2009 manufacturers of beer, soft drinks and waters in the country installed Sicobe in XNUMX.
About 11 billion liters of beer and 13 billion liters of soda were controlled by the system last year, according to data from the IRS.
