The individual microentrepreneurs (MEI) of Campo Grande will be able to issue electronic invoices as of next week. The novelty should bring several benefits to microentrepreneurs and will also optimize the control of the capital's economic activities. The issuance of electronic invoices will be made in the system available on the City Hall website.

"We are one of the first Brazilian capitals to allow the issuing of notes to micro-entrepreneurs", says the municipal revenue secretary, José César Estoduto. “With this measure, we will be able to know who these people are and what roles they play in our economy. That way we can outline strategies to encourage your activity. It is an important step towards the formalization of microentrepreneurs and guarantees them access to retirement and other benefits ”.

The Municipal Revenue Service will announce the beginning of the service provision. MEI is considered to be the individual entrepreneur who earned gross revenue in the previous calendar year of up to R $ 36.000,00 and who opts for Simples Nacional.
