The use of an electronic fiscal document brings economic advantages to the taxpayer in substitution of the formal document. This is what evidences the scientific work carried out in a master's thesis by the state tax inspector of Rio Grande do Sul Vinicius Pimentel de Freitas. The work was presented at the XXXVII Meeting of State Tax Administrators (Encat), held on August 25 and 26, in João Pessoa, Paraíba.
Developed with 45 companies of the most diverse sizes and activities, from May 25 to June 15, 2010, the research shows a reduction in printing costs (from DANFE, simplified graphic representation of the Electronic Invoice - NF-e to accompany transit of goods) and storage of tax documents, both in its own and outsourced structure and regardless of the size of the company.
Printing expenses decreased 22,49%. In addition, about 40% of the sample companies outsource their printing services. The data also show that the adoption of the NF-e reduced the labor costs of people involved in issuing invoices by around 36%, since people were redirected to other areas of the company or the people involved received new tasks .
The NF-e Project is an initiative of the Federal Revenue Service in partnership with the State Finance Departments and voluntary companies. In Mato Grosso, there are currently 26.451 companies required to use NF-e.
