About 900 volumes were collected between electronics, clothing and medicines

The operation launched this Saturday morning to combat the trade in counterfeit and smuggled products in camelódromos in Greater Florianópolis seized R $ 2,2 million in goods. At three points, two in Florianópolis and one in São José, around 900 volumes were collected, including electronics, clothing and medicines.

Altogether, 123 stores were inspected. The camelódromo located next to the Public Market, in the Center of Florianópolis, had 74 establishments investigated. In the shopping center near the South Center, also in the Center of the Capital, the IRS collected products in 28 spaces. At Camelão, in the Campinas neighborhood, in São José, 21 shopkeepers will need to be accountable for the products they sell.

- After almost a year of investigation, the establishments that were inspected are the ones that showed more signs of selling irregular products. But that does not mean that the other stores are completely regular - justified Sérgio Lorente, head of the Division for the Suppression of Smuggling and Disposal of the Federal Revenue of the 9th region.
