The president of the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), deputy Armando Monteiro Neto (PTB-PE), praised the government for the measures taken to face the global financial crisis, but said that it is necessary to work to make permanent exemptions for industry investments. “This leads us to build a more structured policy, on the tax issue, to reduce bureaucracy, the Brazil cost. The Brazilian system accumulates tax credit costs and it is essential to solve this problem and promote the exemption of exports. Taxing investments, as is done in Brazil, is an irrational thing ”, evaluated the entity's president during a speech by the Economic and Social Development Council (CDES). Monteiro Neto asked that the group formed between businessmen and the government to study anti-crisis measures be maintained to discuss these perennial problems of the economy, now with the objective of removing the obstacles to investments in the country. "So, I would like to renew this word of recognition for the competent and efficient action of the government and it is always good to remember that the government works best when it interacts with the private sector", praised the businessman at the end of the speech.
