In the last 48 hours, the federal police of Campo Grande arrested 11 people involved in cigarette smuggling from Paraguay.

The first group, made up of six people, was arrested around 16 pm last Wednesday, when they were preparing boxes of cigarettes to be distributed in the capital's commerce.

At the site, a residence used as a deposit, in the Jardim Montevideo neighborhood, in addition to a large quantity of cigarettes, the police seized two vehicles, one VW / Gol and one Ford / Del Rey, in addition to another 6 thousand reais in cash and several checks .

The second group, with five people, was arrested yesterday afternoon in a warehouse in the Aero Rancho neighborhood. In the group's possession, the PF seized a VW / Kombi vehicle, a VW / Parati, a GM / Corsa, a Motorcycle and more than two thousand cigarette packages that were distributed in the vehicles and in the storage residence.

The Federal Police also seized 42 reais that were hidden in one of the storage rooms.

All the material and the people involved were taken to the Federal Police Superintendence in Campo Grande.

The prisoners were fined in the act for committing the crime of smuggling.
