Beautician Adriana Cláudia Junqueira Mata, 43, was arrested in the act yesterday afternoon in Votuporanga, accused of falsifying medical prescriptions in order to buy prescription drugs. According to the Civil Police, the products were sold on an electronic address on the internet, maintained by her, in the form of 'weight loss kits'. Police officers from the city's Narcotics Investigation Office (Dise) reached Adriana after finding her name on a prescription drug from black label collected from a pharmacy in Votuporanga in the first half. “The investigations started last year. But it was only a few months ago that we discovered this site and started to follow it (through the site) ”, says Chief Constable Antonio Marques do Nascimento.
At Adriana's house, in the San Remo neighborhood, about a thousand blank prescription sheets were seized, another 20 filled in, four medical stamps, several medicines, two computers and two precision scales. Samples of the drugs will be sent to the Criminalistics Institute (IC) of São Paulo. If it is proven that these are prescription drugs, Adriana will also be responsible for drug trafficking. The police believe that the scheme had worked for over a year and that the accused had clients in Votuporanga and the region. She sent orders via mail. All the blank prescriptions were printed with the name of the doctor JMJ, who would have an office in Cardoso, according to the documents. The police contacted WYD and found out that he lives and works in São Paulo, where he has an office specialized in endocrinology and metabology. Sought by the report, the information from the operator who works in the doctor's office was that he was attending a patient and that he could not speak to the Diary.
The official said the doctor learned of his name's involvement in the scheme in Votuporanga and has already given evidence in a precatory letter. "Unfortunately, he was a victim and he didn't even know this girl," said the operator. Another four doctors whose names appear on prescriptions and seized stamps will be investigated. According to the police, the stamps were produced at a company in Votuporanga. Patients appearing on prescriptions will also be contacted by the police. Adriana in the act for falsification of documents and use of false documents, Adriana was sent to the female jail of Meridiano.

According to Deputy Nascimento, a person, whose name was not disclosed, would be responsible for printing the medical prescriptions with the names and records of other doctors. “This person went to the Health Surveillance and pretended to be a friend of one of the doctors, whose name appears on the seized stamps. That way, she was able to find a printer and print the recipes ”, she explains. The suspect, according to the deputy, was not arrested because his involvement with Adriana happened last year, and it is not possible for the police to carry out the act. However, he will also answer for falsifying documents and using false documents.
