Beautician Adriana Cláudia Junqueira Mata, 43, was arrested in the act yesterday afternoon in Votuporanga, accused of falsifying medical prescriptions in order to buy prescription drugs. Police officers from the city's Narcotics Investigation Office (Dise) reached Adriana after finding her name on a prescription drug from black label collected from a pharmacy in Votuporanga in the first half. “The investigations started last year. But it was only a few months ago that we discovered this site and started to follow it (through the site) ”, says Chief Constable Antonio Marques do Nascimento.

At Adriana's house, in the San Remo neighborhood, about a thousand blank prescription sheets were seized, another 20 filled in, four medical stamps, several medicines, two computers and two precision scales.
