In a quick action and with the help of technology, military police officers from the Tactical Support Force (FTA) of the 3rd Company of the 6th Battalion (Maracanaú) managed to recover, in the early afternoon of yesterday, a cargo of grain, stolen in the morning , in Alto da Mangueira, in the municipality of Maracanaú.
According to the Police, the truck was tracked by satellite and the information that the vehicle had remained for about 30 minutes on Rua 4 de Outubro, in the Industrial District, in that Municipality, was enough for the siege of a market to be carried out by the PM. .
When the FTA patrol, formed by sergeant PM Gilberto, Corporal Vanderlei and soldiers Ferreira and Diego, arrived at the location indicated by the tracking system, found two people, the owner of the establishment, Francisco Fábio dos Santos, 20; and its driver, Francisco Márcio de Moura, 29.
Flagrant
“At first, they denied that they had their cargo stolen. But, given the evidence and after we found 110 bales of rice and 11 of feed hidden in a deposit at the back of the distributor, we were sure that it was the stolen cargo ”, reported Sergeant Gilberto, who commanded the search operation.
Inspectors from the Vehicle and Cargo Burglary and Theft Police Station (DRFVC) attended the distributor and made inquiries about the origin of the rest of the material found at the location. The Police suspect that other products are also from robberies in that region.
A Palio vehicle, found in front of the grocery store, was pointed out by witnesses as one of the cars used by the robbers. The two arrested men deny the charges. The owner stated that he did not know that the cargo was there. He said he has another partner and that he could have been the person who took the material to that location.
The owner of the distributor and the driver were fined in flagrante delicto for reception. The accused were taken to the DRFVC. Investigations will continue to identify who was responsible for carrying out the assault on the truck.
