Both posts, located in Artur Alvim, and both owned by the same owner, were closed by the Subprefecture of Penha. They had irregular documentation, did not have a license to operate and did not meet safety standards.
The Penha Subprefecture closed last Tuesday, the 18th, two gas stations in the region that sold adulterated fuel, both from the same owner, located on Avenida Águia de Haia, in Artur Alvim. According to the analysis made by the inspectors of the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) who followed the inspection, it was found 55% of hydrated alcohol in gasoline at the Tamura gas station, while the average allowed is 25%. In Tamurinha it was 45%. Both establishments had irregular documentation, did not have a license to operate and did not even meet safety standards.
The posts were interdicted and sealed by the Department of Property Use Control (Contru) and the Sub-prefecture of Penha with mallets and concrete pipes to prevent access to tanks and irregular pumps. After the ban, the owner of the establishments will be asked to regularize the situation. For the reopening, it is necessary to regularize the operating license and also adopt requirements that meet safety standards. As for the adulteration of the fuel, a fine will be applied to both stations at the end of the administrative process initiated with the interdiction, in accordance with current legislation.
