The mayor of Londrina, Barbosa Neto, presented this Friday (21), during a press conference, a project that authorizes the Executive to revoke the operating license of gas stations and fuel dealers that commit irregularities. “The City Hall cannot remain silent in the face of situations where gas station owners are arrested for irregular fuel sales as reported by the newspapers today. This project will help us to moralize the fuel market ”, said the mayor.

The project was delivered by Mayor Barbosa Neto to the leader of the executive in the Chamber, councilor Sebastião dos Metalúrgicos (PDT), who will file with the Legislature. “We are fighting these bad entrepreneurs, who sell adulterated fuel or who evade taxes. In Paraná, tax evasion reaches almost R $ 1 billion. We will start with the approval of the law, revoke the operating license for these posts ”, declared the mayor.

Barbosa said that the Municipal Consumer Protection and Defense Center (Procon) alongside other organizations will be responsible for inspection. “We have this law strengthening Procon so that it performs an effective inspection. We will establish partnerships with Ipem, Sindicombustível and UEL to help us in this fight against bad entrepreneurs in the fuel segment. ”

Procon Londrina coordinator Marco Cito participated in the press conference and declared that the law will protect good businessmen. “Many people tax the gas station segment because of what we saw on the news. However, it is necessary to separate honest entrepreneurs from those who commit mischief. The law will guarantee this, ”he said. “We are combating counterfeiting of fuels, tax evasion. Whoever is caught irregularly will have the license revoked ”, warned the coordinator. In addition to good businessmen, the Procon coordinator said that the law also meets the demand of public opinion.

The mayor also said that he sent yesterday in Rio de Janeiro, the request for the installation of an outpost of the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) in Londrina.
