PRF seizes 506 cartons with medicines

Yesterday, at about 15:30 pm, the Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized 506 cartels of contraband drugs, at kilometer 734 of the BR-163 highway, in Coxim.

The drugs were transported on a Medianeira bus and the person responsible for the transport was the driver himself, Vanderlei Luiz Ofelder, 36 years old.

Ofelder was arrested in the act and sent to the 1st Police District of Coxim. According to Police Chief Bruno Henrique Urban, the driver was indicted for transporting drugs without origin and contraband. The drugs were in a plastic bag, taped to the bus's rear suspension.

295 Mintagras, 125 Cytotec, 79 Pramil, five Rowatinex and two Digral were seized, mediations used as abortions, slimming and erectile dysfunction. According to the driver, the drugs were received in Mundo Novo (MS) and would be delivered in Cuiabá (MT) and Alta Floresta (MT). For transportation, Ofelder would receive R $ 300.

In addition to the drugs, the driver was also transporting two cameras, 63 flash drives, 1,1 CDs and DVDs and 12 liters of whiskey.


The bus and passengers continued on their journey being driven by another driver from the same company.
