Smuggling King is arrested in the West of the State

Ede Luiz Souza, 43, known as “Edi” and his partner Giovane Albuquerqe Fischer, 25, known as “Primo” were arrested during a gunfire between cigarette smugglers in Guaíra, last Saturday. The confrontation ended with the death of Renato Domingos Pereira, 30, known as “Boi”.

At the scene, the civil police had information that the accused had fled Paraguay, using a speedboat owned by Souza. Subsequently, police officers Josémar Melchior and Silvio Pereira, obtained information that the smuggler was injured and was treated at a hospital in Umuarama.

Delegate José Aparecido Jacovós traveled to Umuarama, where he confirmed the facts. With police support, Ede de Souza was flagrant for a crime of homicide in co-authorship and the preventive arrest of Giovane Fisher was requested by the Guaíra Justice.

Ede was a businessman in Guaíra, where he owns a company that resells speedboats and boats. He answers several lawsuits in the Federal Court, for crimes related to smuggling. As found, the crime occurred due to customer disputes and theft of smuggled goods.
