Building citizenship, fiscal responsibility and social control of public spending are the basic principles of the National Fiscal Education Program (PNEF), formulated in partnership with the Ministries of Education and Finance. In the state of Pará, the program is being implemented through the State Department of Education (Seduc) and, for this, the auditor of the Federal Revenue of Natal / RN, Adauto Carvalho Filho, gave a lecture to about 50 servers, in the morning this Thursday (25), in the Seduc auditorium.

The PNEF is aimed at changing the values of society, aiming to raise awareness and make citizens aware of Brazilian tax issues, both in relation to tax obligations and the social control of public spending. "In general, it is a program of the Brazilian State that re-reads the current government and shows what needs to be corrected", adds Adauto.

The program is a way of minimizing impunity, corruption, social inequality and, thus, guaranteeing citizens' rights by the State, creating the so-called social justice. For this, the program was designed in five modules targeting all ages. The first module is aimed at elementary school students, the second, high school students, the third, public servants, the fourth, university students and, the fifth, society in general. The first and second modules will be carried out within the various disciplines, through principles of teaching on tax education.

This Thursday's event, at Seduc, is the initial step for the dissemination of the PNEF in Pará. In addition to education technicians, the assistant secretaries Socorro Brasil and Fernando Azevedo, of Education and Management, respectively, were also present.
