The investment of R $ 2,7 million in equipment will prevent tax evasion through cargo transported above what is stated in the invoice.

The automated system of tax inspection of goods transit developed by Mato Grosso was mentioned as a reference in world quality on Thursday (19.08), at the International Seminar on Tax Administration, held in São Luiz, Maranhão.

"The contemporaneity of the Mato Grosso tax office automation system has been confirmed by means of dynamic scales, electronic yard control and traffic automation systems", said the Deputy Secretary of Public Revenue of the Mato Grosso Finance Department , Marcel Souza de Cursi, who represented the state tax authority at the event, along with other technicians from the agency.

Through the dynamic inspection system for goods in transit from Mato Grosso, seven scales will be installed, five fixed at the tax posts and two mobile, which have plate identification cameras, software capable of pointing the weight of the load on each axle of the truck, gates and electronic driver guidance boards. The investment of R $ 2,7 million in equipment will prevent tax evasion through cargo transported above what is stated in the invoice.

The new weighing system, when cataloging the plates of each vehicle in a database with the referred loads and weights, will allow the State to monitor in real time all the traffic of goods in Mato Grosso. Each truck that arrives at the tax office will be sent, through electronic plates, to scales duly approved by the National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality (Inmetro).

According to the deputy secretary of Sefaz, during the International Seminar, it was recommended the improvement of the following points: culture of rigor against defaulters, use of information technology as an instrument of strategic alignment, deconcentration of litigation processes and use of technology as an instrument of control and inspection.
