Sefa receives ETCO representatives

On August 11, the State Secretariat of Finance of Pará (Sefa) was visited by two representatives of the Brazilian Institute of Ethics in Competition (ETCO), a civil society organization of public interest (Oscip) that brings together companies and business entities. non-governmental, with the objective of promoting improvement in the business environment and stimulating actions that avoid competitive imbalances caused by tax evasion, informality, falsification and other misconduct.
The audience was attended by Ambassador Roberto Abdenur, executive president of ETCO and Everardo Maciel, member of the Advisory Board. They were received by the Secretary of Finance, José Tostes Neto; by the assistant secretary of Revenue, Nilo Rendeiro de Noronha and by the coordinator of the Fazendária School, Maria de Nazaré Arruda. The subject of the meeting was to introduce the institution and propose a partner in the development of actions aimed at combating illicit taxes.
ETCO offered Sefa, free of charge, software that works with the Electronic Invoice (NFE) system, aggregating and crossing the information available in the databases, generating analysis reports, consolidating statistics by sectors and regions and allowing the secretariat obtain data on the state economy in real time, facilitating the planning of actions. This tool has already been successfully installed at the Bahia State Finance Department.
“We identified a great potential for work in the tool offered. EETCO State Government will sign a cooperation agreement and as soon as possible the software must be added to the secretariat's computer system ”, informed José Tostes Neto.
Founded in 2003, the Brazilian Institute for Ethical Competition works to raise society's awareness of the social harms of unethical practices, and their negative effects on the country's growth. It also supports initiatives that encourage ethical behavior in the economy, and promotes and encourages studies and research carried out in partnership with institutions. ETCO comprises six sectorial chambers, bringing together companies in the technology, medicine, fuel, tobacco, beer and soft drink segments.
