A cargo of medicines valued at R $ 1,5 million was stolen this Monday (13th) night, on the Anhanguera highway, in Ribeirão Preto.

According to the Highway Police, the driver of the truck was surrendered by two armed men when he stopped to sleep at a gas station, at kilometer 319, at around 21:XNUMX pm.

One of the robbers put the driver inside the trunk of a car, while the other ran away with the truck, with plates from Aparecida (SP).

The 31-year-old driver from São Paulo, capital, was abandoned hours later on the Deputado Cunha Bueno highway in Jaboticabal.

The truck had a tracking system and was found on the side of the highway, near the municipality of Nova Odessa, with the cargo.
