More and more crime is increasing in the pharmaceutical segment. In recent years there has been a realization that sectors specializing in drug trafficking such as marijuana, cocaine, crackers and the like have turned their eyes to counterfeiting medicines where profits are greater and risks less.

The falsification of medicines gains more and more space and these that were sold only at fairs and or through the internet, now find space inside pharmacies, a theoretically safe environment, but that due to the inability of sanitary inspections and the safety net itself, has expanded.

The smuggling of drugs in increasing quantities puts products on the market without any authorization to be sold in our country, thus establishing a fine line between the hope of a cure for the correct use of the drug and the possibility of death by ingesting a product without effect.

To guarantee more security to the population of Mato Grosso do Sul, the CRF / MS (Regional Pharmacy Council), after entering into a partnership with Procon and Decon, closed an agreement with Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency), during the XI Qualitative Inspection Meeting, held in Brasília last week.

This partnership aims to combat drug trafficking and piracy, with the positive factor that Anvisa has support from the Federal Police for such actions.

“In the face of this serious situation, CRF / MS cannot remain inert and oblivious to the risks that society runs and silently succumbs to a heinous crime that, without scruples, ignores life. Every day he seeks partners to help fight these criminals. Together we will be strong and we will promote incisive actions together, establishing a relentless siege in defense of the citizen, removing from circulation those who use this establishment created to protect health for the repulsive practice of the attack on human life ”, says Ronaldo Abrão, president of CRF / MS.
