With the end of the Provisional Contribution on Financial Transactions (CPMF), experts discuss the measures that must be presented by the government next week to try to recover part of the money lost with the collection. A study by the Brazilian Institute of Ethics in Competition (ETCO) also suggests alternatives to improve the quality of public spending.

ETCO President André Montoro notes that the end of the check tax does not necessarily imply economic chaos for Brazil.

- On the contrary, it can be a great opportunity for reform and change in the economic and political scenario - said Montoro.
