The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuel (ANP) has been carrying out inspections throughout the city. She warns that some establishments in the Federal District are selling adulterated fuel. The ANP made a survey, using data since 2004, and found that 29 posts had signs of tampering. Eight posts made the list this year alone.

The Union of Station Owners (Sinpetro), José Carlos Ulhôa, advocates severe punishment for businessmen who practice adulteration of fuels. He sent a bill to the Legislative Chamber to convict this type of trader. The project aims for the entrepreneur to lose the product, the registration and still answer criminally for the act practiced.

José Raimundo, head of the track at one of the stations assessed this year, located at QE 20 of Guará I, said that they never received any complaints from their customers. “Whenever the fuel arrives at the gas station, we analyze the percentage of alcohol before pouring it into the tank. We actually received a notification, but we cannot understand why, since we do the quality control of our products. No customer has ever had his car damaged because of our fuel, ”he explained.

João Felipe, a journalist, said that he has already suffered some annoyances for having filled his car with adulterated gasoline. “I stopped at a BR station, which is next to the Extra supermarket, put R $ 20 in gasoline, went to work naturally and then home. The other day, my car wouldn't start. I activated the insurance and they detected that the nozzle was clogged because of adulterated fuel. In addition to having to pay R $ 50 to clean, I also lost gasoline, which was removed. I couldn't even go to the clinic to complain, because I had a habit of throwing away the payment receipt ”, he declared.

According to garage mechanic Frank Luciano, “the pump and fuel filter can burn and depending on the car model the value can be quite high.” Source: Tribuna do Brasil
