In blockade operations by Força Alfa - Companhia Independente de Fronteira - detained five people, seized 250 packages and another 20 cigarette boxes, in addition to 19 crack stones, ready for sale. These were the first numbers of the new unit of the Military Police, implanted on Thursday (16) by Governor Roberto Requião, in Guaíra, in the West of the State. The actions were carried out jointly with the Federal Revenue Service, Federal Highway Police, Highway Police Battalion and Força Samurai, also from the PM.

“Força Alfa is showing positive results to the municipalities in the region. We are reducing the circulation of drugs and, mainly, carrying out operations to identify suspects, 24 hours a day ”, said Lt. Julian Bayer Gonçalves, deputy commander of the Alpha Force.

Even at dawn on Saturday (18), police acted at three different points on the border, after meeting in front of the Federal Police headquarters. In one of them, near the Airton Senna Bridge - access to Mato Grosso do Sul - the operation, together with the Federal Highway Police, seized 250 packs of cigarettes in an Escort. "The material collected, the car and the driver were sent to the IRS," said Lieutenant Bayer.

The other action, in partnership with the Federal Revenue Service, in the municipality of São Clemente, also resulted in the seizure of cigarettes in a Saveiro vehicle. “In this activity, 25 boxes of cigarettes were collected, which together with the driver, were sent to the IRS”, revealed Bayer.

The deputy commander reported that another action by Alfa, also in conjunction with the Federal Revenue Service, carried out in the city of Iporã, arrested suspected drug traffickers. Among them was Clailton Tavares Miranda, 36 (with an open arrest warrant for murder, by the municipality itself), and Laudinei Rateiro Vieira, 36, who carried 19 crack stones ready for sale (responds on parole for trafficking) .

REFLEX - The commander of the Alpha Force, Major Roberto Sampaio de Araújo, guarantees that the fight against drug and arms trafficking in the border region is reflected throughout the state. “The crime rate will be reduced by blocking drug trafficking. For example, 70% of homicides in Curitiba and the Metropolitan Region are due to drug trafficking, ”he said.

Sampaio believes that containing the border will reduce the drug trade in several regions of Paraná and other states, in addition to minor crimes. "Drug users often commit small thefts to support their addiction, this should also be reduced."

The operations were also carried out at strategic points on the side roads, alternative routes used by traffickers and smugglers.

INTEGRATION - Eldison Martins do Prado, commander of the 2nd Platoon, of the 3rd Military Police Company of Cascavel, responsible for the inspection of the area comprising Iporã, Marechal Cândido Rondon and Santa Helena, guarantees that the support of the Alpha Force is essential . "We have already carried out a very comprehensive, ostentatious and preventive work in this region, and now, with this union, we will intensify our actions," he said.

Prado explained that the unit routinely carries out actions to verify the documentation of vehicles and drivers, in addition to checking the authenticity and interior of the cars to check if there are any signs of any type of crime.
