Five suspects of selling contraband drugs and without registration with the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) were arrested yesterday in Curitiba, Pinhais and Almirante Tamandaré.

Among the detainees is a nutritionist and her husband, who own two stores in shopping malls in Curitiba, where they sold the products. The drugs will be referred to the expert examination, as they are suspected of being counterfeit.

During the operation of Nucrisa (Nucleus for the Suppression of Crimes against Health), held in the morning, R $ 8 thousand was seized in products, such as slimming, anabolic, growth hormone (GH) and male hormone precursors, and supplements. food.

The police also seized prescription pads and a doctor's stamp, used to prescribe the drugs. "We are going to investigate the source of the revenues," said delegate Ana Claudia Machado, who led the operation.

Investigations began about four months ago, after the anonymous report that Gislândia André Bezerra, 27, was selling products purchased in Paraguay, where the sale is released.

"She went to Paraguay on average twice a week," said the delegate. In addition to Gislândia, who is known as “Catarina”, Juarez Gohenski, 41, “Xuxu”, and Marino da Silva Filho, 39, “Gê”, and the couple Jackson Oliveira Barros, 30, and Karin C., were arrested. Fuhrmann, 29.

Juarez and Jackson were clients of Gislândia. There is a suspicion that the first one resold products in gyms and one of its buyers was Marino, who, in turn, sold the drugs over the phone. Jackson is Karin's husband and partner.

"Investigations show that he sold the products at bodybuilding exhibitions and at two stores owned by him," said Ana Cláudia. Karin took advantage of the role of nutritionist and indicated the medicines sold by her husband to her patients, according to the delegate.

The five were fined in flagrante delicto for falsification, corruption and adulteration or alteration of products intended for therapeutic or medicinal purposes and may also respond for illegal practice of medicine. All were referred to the Screening Center I and II.


The operation was supported by teams from the Sanitary Surveillance of Curitiba and Pinhais and support from Cope (Special Police Operations Center) and Sicride (Missing Children Investigation Service).

Medicines cause damage to health


Some seized products, according to the police, are for animal use and compromise human health. "Many people use these substances without knowing the harm they can cause," warned the delegate.


After the analysis of the seized merchandise and the conclusion of the investigations, they may be fined for illegal exercise of medicine by and drug trafficking, if the expertise shows that they cause physical dependence.
