As of this Wednesday (25), the Support Service for Micro and Small Enterprises in Pará (Sebrae), starts the itinerant campaign 'Be Legal', with the objective of bringing information about the Individual Entrepreneur Law to informal workers, located in the Belém neighborhoods. The idea of the program, which starts in the district of Icoaraci, in Praça Matriz, is to get closer to the community and bring information about the procedures and benefits that the law can bring to those who are still informal.

By the end of November, there will be eight events held in five locations, namely: Icoaraci, Paar, Ananindeua, Outeiro and Benguí. With this strategy, Sebrae expects to reach more than 300 thousand inhabitants, distributed in 72 neighborhoods in the Metropolitan Region of Belém. In Icoaraci, the action takes place until Friday (27), from 9 am to 17 pm.

More than 360 people in the state are considered micro and small entrepreneurs working informally. These entrepreneurs have a turnover of up to 36 thousand reais a year and work in the most diverse activities such as street vendors, marketers, mechanics, bricklayers, seamstresses, artisans, taxi drivers and at least 400 other activities that, through the Individual Entrepreneur Law, can be formalized and enjoy various benefits such as access to banking services, easier access to credit, reduced tax burden and participation in tenders, among others.

Most of these people prefer to remain informal, in view of the long bureaucracy and high tax burden to open a micro-company. With the Individual Entrepreneur Law, these problems are significantly minimized.

LAW - The Individual Entrepreneur Law has existed since 2008 and came into force the following year. Today, it already benefits more than 311 thousand people across Brazil. In Pará, the number of registrations already reaches almost 7 thousand. In addition to all the advantages already mentioned, the entrepreneur pays only 11% of the minimum wage, about R $ 56, to be included in the INSS benefits program. With this fee, the Individual Entrepreneur can have access to all INSS benefits such as: retirement, maternity salary and seclusion assistance. If you work in commerce and services, the taxes reach only R $ 62 fixed. The entire registration process is done in just a few minutes over the internet.
