Seven trucks with contraband are seized in a popular shopping center in Belo Horizonte

Globo Minas - BELO HORIZONTE - The Military Police is conducting an operation this Tuesday against the illegal trade in goods at Shopping Xavantes, in the central region of Belo Horizonte. According to the PM, the operation aims to combat smuggling. According to the PM, seven trucks have already been loaded with the goods seized during the action, which aims to fulfill a total of 48 search and seizure warrants.

Among the seized products are CDs, DVSs, electronic products without a note, abortive drugs, sexual stimulants, such as Viagra, among other remedies. Nobody was arrested.

Two hundred military personnel participate in the action, which includes the Federal, Civil, Military, Belo Horizonte City Hall, Federal and State Revenue, the Public Ministry, the Fire Department, in addition to the Federal Highway Police.

According to the PM, shopkeepers protest against the operation. The movement hinders traffic in the region.
