Councilor Mario Celso Cunha (PSB) presented a project for the creation of the Municipal Council to Combat Piracy, focusing on an original Brazil, free from illegal trade that steals taxes and generates unemployment.

According to the author, “all types of piracy are harmful, especially when it comes to medicines or products that interfere with the population's health. The worst is that many counterfeit drugs do not contain the original formula, having no effect, besides side problems, causing other diseases in patients ”.

In the justification of the project, the councilor cites the problem of the origin of piracy, which comes from illicit activities such as embezzlement, contraband, reception or falsified production of trademarks and patents.
