PF action in 4 states combats smuggling and money laundering

The Federal Police (PF) launched on Thursday morning (2) an operation to combat cigarette smuggling and money laundering in four Brazilian states: Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná and Mato Grosso. About 300 police officers are serving 45 arrest warrants, 17 for coercive driving and 45 for search and seizure.

Most warrant compliments take place in the cities of Cruz Alta, Santa Maria, Santana do Livramento, Novo Machado, Doctor Maurício Cardoso, Crissiumal, Itati and Rosário do Sul. There is also action in São José do Cedro (SC), Realeza, Francisco Beltrão, Cascavel, Nova Prata do Iguaçu (PR) and Sorriso (MT).

Court orders are still being carried out to seize six vehicles and hijack 30 trucks
