Brazil stops collecting R $ 41 billion in taxes with contraband and counterfeits

This is the volume that the country failed to collect last year, according to a survey carried out in 16 sectors of the economy, including toys, clothing and cigarettes.

The calculation was presented by ETCO, the Brazilian Institute of Ethics in Competition, in an event that brought together businessmen from all over the country.

The Institute also calculates losses in the range of R $ 89 billion reais that companies that operate in the legal market have failed to bill.
