cover researchOne in three Brazilians has already bought contraband goods and 45% of them did not know they were buying a product of this kind.

This is revealed by a survey conducted by Datafolha at the end of April in the five regions of the country. According to her, smuggled electronics, clothes, shoes, toys and perfumes are the items preferred by the consumer.

The difference in price between illegal and official merchandise - that purchased at a store that issues invoices and provides guarantees - is what fuels contraband in the country, according to the survey.
