The Federal Revenue seized last Tuesday (03/02) two containers with 50 tons of counterfeit products at the port terminal in Navegantes. The cargo, which came from China, is the largest ever held in the past three years. Among the goods found are shirts, cell phones, pens, glasses, optical equipment and watches. The value of the products is estimated at more than R $ 4 million.

The chief inspector of Itajaí customs, Luis Gustavo Robetti, explains that the containers were identified through the risk analysis system of the Federal Revenue. One of them had been in Portonave for 60 days awaiting the import declaration. The other arrived last week, when suspicions grew.
