PF registers drop in smuggling seizures at the border in 2015

The Federal Police (PF) in Foz do Iguacu, in the western region, recorded a drop in the volume of seizures of smuggled goods from Paraguay in 2015 compared to 2014. On the other hand, the number of seizures of marijuana and ecstasy on the border increased. The data are part of the balance of activities carried out by the body released on Tuesday (26).

According to the PF, in 2014 the equivalent to R $ 49,4 million in smuggled goods was seized in the region. In 2015, seizures accounted for R $ 41 million, a reduction of R $ 8,4 million from one year to the next. THE decrease was also registered by the Federal Revenue.
