Law and Economics

The book Direito e Economia is the result of the edition (2007) of one of the most traditional events promoted by ETCO: the Cycle of Debates “Direito e Economia”

By ETCO - 01/12/2008

The event, which is the basis of this book, brought together the greatest scholars of the relationship between the two areas. The work consolidates the arguments that, more than identifying obstacles, indicate how they can be overcome. If the perspectives are different, the objective is common: what is wanted is to ensure a business environment conducive to the country's economic development.

Participated in the 2007 Debate Cycle: Armando Castelar Pinheiro, professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and senior researcher at IPEA; Eros Roberto Grau, minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court); Elizabeth Farina, president of Cade (Administrative Council for Economic Defense) at the time of the debate; economist Maílson da Nóbrega, former Minister of Finance; Francisco César Asfor Rocha, minister of the STJ (Superior Court of Justice); Maria Tereza Sadek, senior researcher at the São Paulo Institute of Economic and Political Studies; Gustavo Franco, professor at PUC in Rio de Janeiro and former president of the Central Bank; and Enrique Ricardo Lewandovski, minister of the STF.
