The Minister of Foreign Affairs (MRE), José Serra, said on Friday (01/07) that the policy to combat smuggling and
border must be from the government and not from specific ministries. “The cost of increasing the State's presence in these actions is minimal in view of the benefits that will be generated in terms of revenue and reduced crime. Any measure to reduce costs in combating border illicit is absolutely uneconomical ”, he stressed.
The authority participated in the “Estadão Forums - Combat against Contraband”, an event organized by the Estado group, in partnership with the Brazilian Institute of Competition Ethics (ETCO) and the National Forum Against Piracy and Illegality (FNCP).
