Brazil concentrates the largest volume of piracy of cable TV signals in Latin America, generating a loss of approximately R $ 4 billion for companies. This was one of the main issues discussed at the opening of the ABTA (Brazilian Pay-TV Association) Congress, along with the need to approve Bill 239, which aims to make the punishment for those who use the illegal signal more rigid and specific.
